1. THE CHALLENGE

Stimson Lumber Company, one of the nation’s oldest continually operating forest products companies in the US, was experiencing high turnover rate at their production facilities due to unprepared employees and an overall difficulty attracting the right talent. They sought an impactful solution for engaging prospects, capturing viewer’s attention during training activities, and positioning the company as positioning the company more as an innovative thought leader.

2. THE OBJECTIVE

Bring on Jiva to update and improve training methods using disruptive technology. Train employees more effectively without interrupting production, and capture 100% attention span when demoing training modules. Get employees comfortable in dangerous/hazardous environments before stepping foot on the job (Situational awareness). Allow prospective employees to truly envision the fit and feel of a career with the company from miles away.

3. THE VISION

Create a highly interactive, multi-faceted tool for use at recruiting trade shows, job fairs, and industry events in addition to on-site job trainings. Generate excitement around new job opportunities, company values and history. Walk in the shoes of logging recruits in the 1900’s as well as current, long-standing employees. Allow viewers to experience the grit and grind of this storied industry, with impactful messaging surrounding how a strong work ethic can lead to a fruitful career with this loyal company.
